The top places to visit in Greater Noida are Surajpur Wetland (a bird sanctuary with more than 180 recorded species), The Grand Venice Mall with its indoor gondola canal, City Park, India Expo Centre & Mart during a trade show, the Buddh International Circuit, and two unusual heritage temples: the Ravan temple at Bisrakh and the Guru Dronacharya temple at Dankaur. 1. Surajpur Wetland (Surajpur Bird Sanctuary)

Surajpur Wetland is the best natural attraction in Greater Noida. According to UP Ecotourism, it covers about 308 hectares, including roughly 60 hectares of natural wetland, and around 180 bird species have been recorded here. In winter, look for bar-headed geese, greylag geese, red-crested pochards, northern shovelers and common teals. Resident species such as spot-billed ducks and lesser whistling ducks breed here. The site is managed by the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department. In January 2025, the Greater Noida Authority announced a project to protect the wetland from polluted wastewater.

2. The Grand Venice Mall

Near Pari Chowk, The Grand Venice Mall is designed to look like Venice, with Italian-style facades, indoor canals and gondola rides. Besides shopping and dining, it has family entertainment such as a snow park, bowling and a small adventure zone. Mall entry is free, but gondola rides and activities are charged separately. Online guides updated in 2026 list gondola rides at around ₹300 on weekdays and ₹400 on weekends per person, so check at the counter because rates change. Weekday evenings are much less crowded than Sundays.

3. City Park, Greater Noida

City Park, opposite the Alpha-II commercial belt, is one of the city’s largest and best-known parks. The district administration lists it as a tourist spot for jogging, picnics and family outings. It has walking tracks, open lawns and a lake area. It is a good free option for an evening walk or a winter picnic, and it’s close to Pari Chowk, so you can combine it with the mall.

4. India Expo Centre & Mart

India Expo Centre & Mart in Knowledge Park II is one of India’s largest exhibition complexes. It is spread over 58 acres and has 14 multi-purpose halls, according to the venue operator. It hosts events such as the UP International Trade Show (UPITS), whose fourth edition runs from 25 to 29 September 2026, the IHGF Delhi Fair for handicrafts, and SEMICON India 2024, which the Prime Minister inaugurated here. 5. Buddh International Circuit

Opened in 2011 along the Yamuna Expressway, the Buddh International Circuit hosted the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix from 2011 to 2013 and India’s first MotoGP race in 2023. It is not an open-to-all tourist site. You can usually get in only during scheduled events such as national racing championships or special track days, so check the circuit’s event calendar before you go.

6. Bisrakh Ravan Temple

Bisrakh village in Greater Noida West is believed locally to be the birthplace of Ravan and the ashram of his father, the sage Vishrava (विश्रवा), after whom the village is said to be named. The village temple has a Shivling that local tradition describes as self-manifested (स्वयंभू), along with idols of Ravan’s family. Because of this belief, many residents traditionally don’t burn Ravan effigies on Dussehra. These are local traditions and legends, not established historical fact, but the temple is a fascinating cultural stop, especially around Dussehra.

7. Guru Dronacharya Temple, Dankaur

Dankaur, a town south of Greater Noida, is traditionally associated with Guru Dronacharya of the Mahabharata and with the story of Eklavya, who is said to have practised archery before a clay image of Drona. The temple holds a large annual fair that begins around Janmashtami and runs for about ten days. Temple timings listed online are roughly 5 AM–12 PM and 4 PM–9:30 PM, but verify locally.

• Gautam Buddha University campus: Known for its large, award-winning campus architecture. It is an academic campus, so entry for casual visitors may be restricted. Ask at the gate.

How to reach Greater Noida

• Metro: The Noida Metro Aqua Line runs from Noida Sector 51 (interchange with Delhi Metro’s Blue Line at Sector 52) to Depot station in Greater Noida. Its Greater Noida stations include Knowledge Park II, Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, Delta 1, GNIDA Office and Depot. Fares were reported at ₹10–₹50 (as of 2026; check NMRC for current fares).
• Road: Take the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway from Noida, or the Yamuna Expressway from the south.
• Air: Use IGI Airport, Delhi, or Noida International Airport at Jewar.

• Don’t visit Surajpur in the afternoon heat. Birds are most active early in the morning, and visitors report that the sanctuary closes by late afternoon.
• Check India Expo Mart’s event calendar first. Many trade shows are business-only or have limited public days.
• Expect traffic during big events. UPITS and other large shows lead to traffic advisories around Knowledge Park II. Use the metro on those days.
• Visit Surajpur in a group. Parts of the wetland trail are isolated, so go with company and stay on marked paths.
• Respect local customs at village temples. Dress modestly and ask before photographing rituals.
