Yamuna Expressway Toll Rates 2026: Car, Bike, Bus & Truck Charges by Plaza

Yamuna Expressway toll rates in 2026 work out to roughly ₹485–₹487 for a car driving the full 165 km from Greater Noida to Agra, based on the per-kilometre rates in force since October 2024 and figures reported in May 2026. You pay at three toll plazas (Jewar, Mathura and Agra), and FASTag is the normal way to pay. This guide explains the current car, bike, bus and truck charges, what a proposed 2026 hike means, the new exemption for Jewar-area villagers, and how to plan a cheaper, safer drive.

Toll rates can be revised at short notice, usually from 1 October or 1 April. Treat the figures below as a planning guide and confirm at the plaza or on the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) website before a long trip.

Yamuna Expressway toll rates 2026: full-stretch table

The expressway charges on a per-kilometre basis, which is then split across the three plazas. The last revision took effect on 1 October 2024, when the car rate went from ₹2.60 to ₹2.95 per km. In May 2026, India TV and Amar Ujala reported the current full-stretch figures shown below while covering a new hike proposal. The numbers match the 2024 per-km rates multiplied by the 165 km length.

Figures are as of September 2026 and can change; the amount actually debited is rounded at each plaza, so your FASTag statement may differ by a few rupees.

Toll by plaza: Jewar, Mathura and Agra

You do not pay the whole amount at one booth. The expressway is divided into three sections, each with its own main plaza:

• Jewar plaza – covers the Greater Noida to Jewar/Tappal section. This is the one Noida and Greater Noida drivers hit most often, including on trips towards Noida International Airport.
• Mathura plaza – covers the middle section towards Mathura and Vrindavan.
• Agra plaza – covers the final section into Agra.

YEIDA’s own website still shows an older per-plaza table (for example ₹120 for a car at Jewar, ₹155 at Mathura and ₹140 at Agra, totalling ₹415), and some news reports in September 2026 repeated those same numbers. That total is lower than the ₹485-odd figure reported for 2026, so the per-plaza split on the authority’s page appears not to have been updated since earlier revisions. If you only drive part of the road, expect to pay more than the old table suggests. The display board at each plaza shows the rate being charged, so check it on your first trip.

Because the per-plaza split is not clearly published for 2026, we have not listed exact amounts for partial trips. Your FASTag SMS after each plaza is the most reliable record.

Is the Yamuna Expressway toll increasing in 2026?

In May 2026 the company that manages the expressway submitted a proposal to YEIDA for an increase of around 4–5 percent, citing rising maintenance and safety costs and a contractual clause linking toll to the wholesale price index. If accepted as reported, a car’s full-stretch toll would rise by about ₹17, to roughly ₹504. YEIDA’s leadership publicly opposed the hike at the time, and Jewar MLA Dhirendra Singh also spoke against it. As of late September 2026 we found no official notification confirming a new rate, so the October 2024 rates remain the reference. Past revisions have usually started on 1 October, so watch for news in the first week of October.

Toll exemption for Jewar-area villagers (from 17 September 2026)

After a demand that ran for around 14 years, residents of an approved list of villages around Jewar can now travel toll-free through the Jewar plaza, starting 17 September 2026. News reports say the relief was agreed after talks between YEIDA, the operating company and the local MLA.

• Who qualifies: Residents of the notified villages near the expressway, not everyone with a Jewar address.
• Documents: Aadhaar card, local residence certificate and the vehicle’s registration certificate (RC).
• Where to register: The toll plaza manager’s office at Jewar plaza, where details are verified.
• How it works: Approved vehicles get a special FASTag for toll-free travel between Jewar and Greater Noida only.

If you think you qualify, visit the Jewar plaza office with originals and photocopies, and ask for the current village list before you go.

FASTag, cash and the Annual Pass

FASTag has been in use on the Yamuna Expressway since mid-2021 and is the fastest way through. A few points that confuse many drivers:

• The NHAI FASTag Annual Pass does not work here. The pass launched on 15 August 2025 at ₹3,000 for 200 trips covers NHAI and national-expressway plazas only. The Yamuna Expressway is a state-authority road, so normal FASTag balance is deducted.
• Keep enough balance. For an Agra round trip by car, keep at least ₹1,000 in the wallet so a low balance does not hold you up at the barrier.
• Cash lanes exist, but they are fewer and slower, especially on weekends and holiday evenings.
• Wrong-class deductions happen. If a car is charged as an LCV, note the plaza, time and amount from the SMS and raise it with your FASTag-issuing bank.

Speed limits and road rules

The posted limit is 100 km/h for cars and 60 km/h for heavy vehicles. Every winter the police lower it during the fog season; for 2025–26, cars were limited to 75 km/h from 15 December to mid-February. Speed is tracked by cameras and e-challans are sent to the registered owner, so a fast drive can cost far more than the toll. Check the Parivahan e-challan portal for pending fines after a long trip.

Tips to save money and time

• Plan your exit. Airport, Buddh International Circuit and Film City traffic uses exits near the start of the road. If you are heading to the Buddh International Circuit or Noida International Airport, check on a map whether your exit falls before the Jewar plaza, as that can change what you pay.
• Fill fuel before you join. Food courts and fuel stations exist along the road, but prices and queues are better in Greater Noida.
• Avoid Sunday evening returns from Agra and Mathura if you can; plaza queues are longest then.
• Check tyres. Long stretches at high speed on hot concrete make tyre bursts a known risk; check pressure and tread before you leave.
• Save your FASTag SMS for every plaza; it is your proof if you need a refund.
• Do not stop on the carriageway for photos or phone calls. Use designated lay-bys and service areas.

Mistakes to avoid

• Assuming the ₹3,000 NHAI Annual Pass covers this road – it does not.
• Relying on old per-plaza tables online; many still show 2016–2022 rates.
• Driving into a FASTag lane with a blacklisted or empty tag, which can mean a penalty charge.
• Ignoring the winter speed limit; fog pile-ups have happened on this road.
