Noida Metro Aqua Line 2026: Route Map, Station List, Fare Chart & Timings

The Noida Metro Aqua Line is a 29.7 km elevated metro line with 21 stations running from Noida Sector 51 to Depot station in Greater Noida. This guide covers the full Noida Metro Aqua Line route, the station list, fares, timings, tickets and the easiest way to change to the Delhi Metro, including the new Sector 51–52 skywalk that opened in August 2026.

Aqua Line route overview

The line starts at Noida Sector 51, near the Sector 52 station of the Delhi Metro Blue Line, and runs south through the sectors around Sector 76, 101 and 81 before reaching the Noida Special Economic Zone (NSEZ). From Sector 83 it follows the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, passing the big housing sectors from 137 to 148. It then enters Greater Noida at Knowledge Park II, continues to Pari Chowk, Alpha 1, Delta 1 and the GNIDA Office, and ends at the Depot station.

The line is owned by the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC). It is separate from the Delhi Metro network, which is why you need a different ticket and have to change stations at Sector 51/52.

If you are heading to Ved Van Park in Sector 78, Noida Sector 101 and Sector 81 are the closest Aqua Line stations; check a map app for the walking or e-rickshaw distance from your exit gate.

Fares depend on how many stations you travel. The slabs below are the ones published by several transport guides in 2025–2026; NMRC may revise them, so confirm the exact fare at the station or in the app.

So an end-to-end trip from Sector 51 to Depot costs about ₹50 on a weekday (as of September 2026). Fares can change, so treat this table as a guide.

Timings and frequency

• First train: 6:00 AM Monday to Saturday; 8:00 AM on Sundays.
• Last train: Around 10:00 PM. Some guides list departures up to about 10:45 PM, so check NMRC’s current timetable if you are travelling late.
• Frequency: Roughly every 7–10 minutes in peak hours and every 10–15 minutes off-peak, according to published guides.

Timings are as of September 2026 and can be changed by NMRC for festivals, special events or maintenance.

Tickets, QR codes and smart cards

QR tickets

You can buy QR tickets at station counters and vending machines, or on the NMRC mobile app. Since 11 September 2025, Noida Metro QR tickets can also be bought in the Delhi Metro’s Sarathi app, and Delhi Metro tickets are available in the NMRC app, so a single phone app can cover both parts of a Delhi–Noida trip. You still get separate tickets for each network.

NMRC smart card

Regular riders use the NMRC City1 smart card, which is reported to give a 10% discount on each journey. Delhi Metro smart cards generally do not work on the Aqua Line, so do not assume your DMRC card will open the gates.

Changing between the Aqua Line and Delhi Metro

For years, passengers changing between Noida Sector 51 (Aqua Line) and Noida Sector 52 (Blue Line) had to walk along a busy road or take an e-rickshaw. That changed on 28 August 2026, when an air-conditioned, L-shaped skywalk with travelators opened between the two stations. News reports put its length at roughly 400–460 metres and say the transfer now takes about five minutes. Over 45,000 people used it on the first day.

The effect was quick: NMRC’s CEO said ridership rose after the skywalk opened, with average daily ridership reported at around 85,000 in September 2026, up from about 70,000 in August.

From Sector 52 you can take the Blue Line towards Noida City Centre, Botanical Garden, Rajiv Chowk and Dwarka. For Greater Noida and the India Expo Mart, stay on the Aqua Line to Knowledge Park II.

Tips for riding the Aqua Line

• Use the skywalk. It is faster and safer than crossing the road between Sector 51 and 52, especially in the rain or with bags.
• Buy both tickets on one app. Using the NMRC or DMRC Sarathi app saves time in queues at the interchange.
• Get a smart card if you commute. The reported 10% discount adds up for daily Noida–Greater Noida trips.
• Check Sunday timings. Trains start later on Sundays (8 AM), which can catch out early travellers.
• Plan for gaps. Off-peak headways of 10–15 minutes are longer than on the Delhi Metro, so leave a buffer for trains, exams or flights.
• Expect crowds during big events. Trade fairs at India Expo Mart fill Knowledge Park II and nearby stations; the line’s single-day record of 74,370 riders came during the UP International Trade Show in September 2025.
• Know your last train. Last services run around 10 PM, so arrange a cab for late returns.

The Aqua Line is the quickest way to get across Noida and Greater Noida without being stuck in Expressway traffic, and the new skywalk makes the Delhi connection much easier. Keep a smart card or app ticket ready, note the Sunday start time, and check NMRC’s notices for any fare or timetable changes before you travel.
